No, it is not!
To prove it, PLEASE go back and TIE THE THIEF KNOT copying the animation. You will find you cannot tie it, you have to thread it. (The right hand rope comes out at the bottom of the knot.) Now pull the two standing ends and it will twist and slip undone. Honest!
If you still do not believe me, look it up in Ashley's Book of knots.
I then used the Gif Construction Set to build all the separate GIFs into one animated GIF.
There are many sites on the WWW which explain how to create animated GIFs in great detail. I suggest you use a good search engine such as Google to research the subject before attempting this yourself.
I have supplied code and an animated Membership Badge here for that very purpose.
The reasons are simple.
1. I have spent over 100 hours creating these images in an attempt to attract visitors to our site. I conceived the idea in late 1996 and worked hard creating and publishing them for the next nine months in my spare time while at the same time running a troop.
2. Every copy on the web will attract visitors to your site, not mine!
3. I do not believe in redundancy on the web. The web should have one copy of something and many links pointing to it. That is why it is called the World Wide WEB.
A very few visitors have regarded this attitude as selfish. I am sorry if you do too. My feeling is that I dedicated the time to create something unique to attract visitors to our web site and I want to maintain that attraction. Nearly half a million visitors hopefully have enjoyed the results.
